INTERVIEWS

Interviewees respond to Client-submitted and/or Posterecord-suggested questions. NOTE: Interviewees will be the only voices heard.  Questions may be printed as titles, but Posterecorders will not be seen/heard.

STORY CAPTURES

Interviewees provide the stories behind pictures of people, places, and things.  IMAGE PROMPTS (below) must be included.

TOURS

Posterecord on the road, whether it be traveling around town or to another town entirely.  Capture as much or as little as you want – the travel to, from and/or around the destination itself.  Audio recording available in vehicle.  Video recording available in and/or on (outside) vehicle.

IN PERSON

In Person recording of Interview and/or Story Capture at site of your choice/our suggestion.  Best choice for audio/video quality.

VIRTUAL

Virtual (online) version of recording of Interview and/or Story Capture, administered off-site by Posterecord. Interviewees will need their own device(s) (ideally computer with camera) and connection to internet (ideally wifi). Print/object capture should be done before Recording Day. Best for larger groups, and/or to include friends and family from out of town.

HYBRID

In Person/Virtual (online) version of recording of Interview and/or Story Capture, administered on-site by Posterecord.  Wifi connection to internet required on-site. Print/object capture should be done before Recording Day. The best of both worlds?

• High quality microphones and field recorders

IMAGES

Images are both used to prompt storytelling (if Digital, Capture, or Scanning before Recording Day/Tour) and will be incorporated into Edit 1.1 (included for all projects) and any other selected Output options below.

• Client Digital: Client-provided digital images used as prompts and included in Output (F).
• Captures: Posterecord captures (i.e. photographs) images of prints (framed, on wall, in albums, loose, etc.) and/or objects (vehicles, furniture, art, clothing, mementos, etc.). Prints may be captured on site, then subsequently scanned for a much higher quality output (see just below).
• Scans: High quality handscanning of negatives, slides, and/or prints (framed, on wall, in albums, loose, etc.)

QUESTIONS

Questions, suggested by Posterecord and/or provided by Clients, which prompt responses and storiesS

High quality handscanning of negatives and/or prints in frames, albums, etc.  Specifications as such:

• 48-bit color (or b&w)
• 8.5 x 11.7″ max print size
• 35 mm slides / negative film strips
• Medium format negatives less than 6 x 20 cm
• 4 x 5″ negatives

Scans will be used as PROMPTS and/or OUTPUTS (below) and will be made available to the Client.  Please inquire about discounted bulk scanning as a project additional to this one.

EDIT 1.1  (1 pass)

This simple edit (including titling) of all useable audio, video, and PROMPTS (above, if used)  is included with all projects.  (e.g. 60 minutes)

EDIT 1.2

A condensed edit (shorter, more shareable) version of EDIT 1.1.  (e.g. 5 minutes)

EDIT 2.1 (2 passes)

Review of EDIT 1.1 for opportunities to supplement its output (mentions of people, places, and things); communication/collaboration with Client of same; retrieval and receipt of additional related content; and editing and generation of more robust version of EDIT 1.1.  (e.g. 60 minutes)

EDIT 2.2

A condensed edit (shorter, more shareable) version of EDIT 2.1.  (e.g. 5 minutes)

CAPTIONS & TRANSCRIPTS

Captions appear at bottom of screen for Edit 1.1 (included) and all optional Output selected.  Transcripts are transcriptions of Interviewee(s) and words spoken in Edit 1.1 (included), provided in MS Word and PDF formats.
